Saxton Well Service
got its start back in 1933 when Ray H. Saxton started drilling water wells in this area with a drilling rig that he made himself. In 1959, Ray H. Saxton's son, Hubert E. Saxton, took over the business.
After taking over Saxton Well Service, Hubert started installing tanks and Goulds® pumps. He went on to expand the business from the Tionesta and Forest County area into the surrounding areas of Venango, Crawford, Warren, and Clarion Counties.
In 1995, Ray H. Saxton, Hubert's son, bought the business. He continues to serve Forest, Warren, Crawford, Clarion, and Venango Counties. Ray also continues to install Goulds® pumps and does complete water hookups for his customers. Covering a service area that stretches 40 miles beyond Tionesta, Ray maintains 2 drilling rigs, 2 work trucks, and 1 service truck.
Currently, Saxton Well Service
employs 4 full-time employees and 1 part-time employee. One of the company's employees is Ray's daughter, Karen, who hopes to carry on her family's legacy and business one day.
